Sinulog Bunal ug Kusug Cup on today

CEBU, Philippines – Over a hundred of badminton players all over Cebu plus a bunch of out-of-town participants will compete today in the Sinulog Bunal ug Kusog Cup at the Metro Sports Badminton Club in Barangay Lahug, this city.

Close to 60 entries are vying for the top honors in the age-group while over 50 players are expected to see action in the main division of this doubles event.

The two-day action has attracted players from Iligan City though there are two players whom organizers decided to be paired with two Cebuano shuttlecock artists since they do not have partners.

Bets from Leyte Sports Academy and players from Guihulngan, Negros Oriental are also set to see action.

Organized by the White Feathers Badminton Club in partnership with the Metro Sports Badminton Center, the tournament will have age-brackets including the 11-under, 13-under, 15-under and 17-under for  both boys and girls and mixed class.

The main division, on the other hand, will have the open, combined level C and D, level E, F and G for the men, ladies and mixed doubles.

The top performers will take home badminton products plus medals while the runners-up will receive medals.— Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (FREEMAN)
