MGM five keeps winning ways in CAV hoopla

CEBU, Philippines - Defending champion MGM Sounds and Promotions jacked up its title retention bid after it scored a repeat 78-66 win over San Remigio Property at the start of the semifinal round in the 7th Christian Athletic Volunteers (CAV) Invitational Basketball Tournament at the Tejero Sports Complex.

James Ferraren led MGM's charge with 17 points ,while Jomarie Beldoro and Elizar Linda combined for 23 points.

Earlier, the ASPA Scaffoldings posted a 66-57 triumph over Crystal King. Former commercial standout Alex Cainglet paced ASPA with 16 markers.
