CEBU, Philippines – Cebu Football Association's elite squads showed impressive skills in the PFF Festival of Football-Visayas paving the way to 22 of them being named in the national training pool.
Called to be part of the national pool for the under-14 are Antonio Alforque Jr., Angelo Colina, Ronald Addie Bitor, Dustin Rey Ramirez,Charles Clarence Unabia,Tristan Karl Enad and Lloyd Soco.
In the girls' 14, included in the list are Isa Neri, Mary Laela Borromeo, Alexandrea Gumilao, Dominique Nicole Badines, Gazleen Ybañez, Regina Echavez, Lea Birondo, Kay Maxine Dotillos, Arriene Shannice Poblacion, Trizza Musni, and Regina Louise Sarrosa.
In the boys'12, making it to the pool are Kamil Amirul, James Uy, Stephen Soria and Yoki Selman.
CFA's under-14 squad posted a 2-1-1 win-draw loss record. They won over Negros Oriental FA, 6-0, and Leyte, 1-0. In the distaff side, the young Cebuanas won both their games against NORFA, 4-0 and 5-0.
For their part, CFA's boys'12-under squad, ended with three wins and a loss. The young Cebuanos dumped NORFA, 13-2 before losing to Iloilo FA, 1-4. They bounced back and won its last two games, 3-1 against NOFA and then 1-0 over Leyte FA.
There are no champions in this event since this is mainly a selection process for PFF's national teams.
