“This is by invitation and no beginners are allowed in this event being a highly technical race,” said organizer and one of the top contenders Joseph "Epos" Falcone.

Aside from Falcone, other elite longboarders to watch out for are Dandoy Tongco, Gerard Cancio, Paolo Villacorta, Pedro Escarda, John Rey and John Rex Ricablanca, Mikel Dela Cerna and Coco Escobal.

Riders will be dealing with the veggie highway in Guadalupe, Carcar. During the race, there will be full road closure to avoid accidents, but vehicles can pass through after every heat.

All participants are required to be in full gear since organizers impose a "no skin" policy for their protection and safety.

Organizing the event will surely boost Cebu's tag as the "long board capital" of Asia. Cash prizes and medals are at stake for the top participants.  (FREEMAN)
