5th leg of MS Motosuit moto-x series set Oct. 5 in Calambua
CEBU, Philippines – Everything is already in place for the fifth leg of the MS Motosuit Motocross Series billed as the 2014 Calambua Motocross Challenge scheduled to be held on October 5 at the picturesque, yet very challenging Calambua race course in San Remigio town north of Cebu.
MS Motosuit big boss Lou Ornoia said over 100 riders from all over the country will take part in the adrenalin-pumping race that is supported by Yamaha Motor Philippines through its Sales and Marketing Director Kaoru Ogura.
"Our upcoming event is going to be bigger and grander with the support of Yamaha coming our way. We're looking forward to a very exciting and more enjoyable race," said Ornopia, a one-time 'Sportsman of the Year' awardee who is considered the 'Godfather of Cebu Motocross'
Among the top daredevils who are set to showcase their riding skills and gravity-defying stunts are Jon-jon Adlawan, John Flores, Dongkey Sanchez, Jubenile Abellar, Windsor Famorca of Guimaras and Scott Remy of Dumaguete to name a few. A bunch of riders from Sel-J Racing Team of Manila and other areas in the Vis-Min region will also be coming over to challenge Cebu's homegrown talents.
As in the past legs, the categories to be contested are the mini 60cc and 85cc, beginners, local enduro, open enduro, executive A, B and C, novice, intermediate, expert and pro open.
On top of that, Ornopia said Yamaha will be launching two special categories that will be announced later.
"It's something that the riders should really look forward to because it's going to be a highly entertaining motocross action," assured Ornopia.
Aside from Yamaha, the event is also backed up by CST Motorcycle Tire, Mobil Oil, F & FO Motor Parts, RMO Motor Parts, JCO Motor Parts, New MS Apartelle,Prospeed, Motomaze, Ljun Motorparts, N Style Motor Parts and Speed-up Motor Parts.
Meanwhile, exciting motocross action will be aired over CCTN 47 every Saturday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Replays of the weekly show are scheduled every Sunday from 10:30 to 11 o'clock in the evening. — EBV) (FREEMAN)
