CESAFI football kicks off today

CEBU, Philippines - The football event of the 2014 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc., (CESAFI) season will kick off today at the Cebu City Sports Center.

The opening match features the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu against University of Southern Philippines Foundation in the secondary division, while University of San Carlos takes on University of San Jose Recoletos.

In the tertiary action, defending champion USJ-R against USPF as University of the Visayas will aim for their first win against University of Cebu. Don Bosco College will battle USC.

There are a total of six teams seeing action in the secondary level and 10 in the tertiary level.

 This year’s CESAFI football will follow a single round robin system with the top four teams advancing to the semifinal round. (FREEMAN)
