Cebuano junior triathletes to invade Subic

CEBU, Philippines -  A bevy of Cebu's top junior triathletes are all set to see action in the K-Swiss ITU Subic Bay International Triathlon this weekend.

They are Aaliyah Ricci Mataragnon, Ralph Eduard So, Frederic Albert Yuan Chiongbian, Shaia Ruth and Craig Joshua Uy and Jezril Tan.

All of them except for Tan will compete under the mini sprint division. Tan will strut his wares in the junior elite sprint race.

Among the Cebuano contenders, the pressure is heavier on the side of Mataragnon and Yuan Chiongbian.

Mataragnon is coming off  a silver medal finish in the New Mooon MetaSprint Triathlon Series in Singapore, while Yuan is the April cover of sports magazine Swim-Bike-Run MultiSport together with his brother Justin. The Chiongbians have been tagged as the "Princess of Philippine Triathlon".  (FREEMAN)
