CEBU, Philippines - Cebuana triathlete Aaliyah Ricci Mataragnon gave the country another reason to celebrate as she won the silver medal in the New Moon khcycle MetaSports series in Singapore yesterday.

From a bronze medal finish last year, Mataragnon got a better placing at the female 14-15 class against other 26 entries.

Meanwhile in Sta.Fe Bantayan Island, Lorhiz Echavez-Lopez and Kristiane Lim once again dominated their respective divisions in the Cebu Team Triathlon Championship Series.

After winning a title in NAGT last week in Danao, Lim emerged as the fastest in the men’s open with a 2:05:31 clocking over Emmanuel Comendador  (2:06:55) in the second place while Sherwin Managil place third.
