Innodata, Accenture reach Aboitiz Cup final
CEBU, Philippines - Team Innodata and Accenture hurdled their respective semifinal assignments to set up a championship duel in the inter-BPO division of the 16th Aboitiz Football Cup yesterday at the Aboitiz Sports Field in Brgy. Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
Innodata advanced after eking out a 1-0 win over Lexmark, while Accenture booked the remaining final ticket with a 3-0 whitewash of Convergys.
In the distaff side, Accenture bested Lexmark, 2-1, while Convergys blanked NCR, 3-0.
In the inter-company category, ERCO edged out Leylam, 1-0, T-United outlasted the Arkiteks United via a 2-0 decision while San Miguel and Kalayaan Engineering fought to a 2-2 stalemate.
ERCO also won its game in the 38-above age group against JEH United, 1-0.
In the under 23, the games pitting the Don Bosco Technology Center versus Continental AFS and Leylam against the University of the Visayas both ended in a 1-all draw. (FREEMAN)
