CFA skeds another C License coaching course

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Football Association (CFA) is now accepting applicants for a second C License Coaching Course set next month.

This was bared by Raffy Musni, one of the directors of the football association.  He said that those who want to join must signify early with the CFA.

The requirements are a bio-data, a filled-up Asian Football Confederation (AFC) form 1, 4 passport size photos, a photocopy of the passport, a copy of the birth certificate, medical certificate, endorsement from the CFA, and a valid national ID.

Musni said that preferably, the applicants must at least have two years coaching experience.

The CFA headed by Engr. Ricky Dakay, took care of all expenses of the participants of the coaching course held last August.  For the November course, Musni said that the board of the CFA would decide if it would also offer it free to the participants.

Dakay, according to Musni, was very happy with the outcome of the last C License course that he is pushing for another one next month.

In the August course, there were 24 participants and of the number, 11 passed to earn their C License.

Those who made it were Epifanio Ynot, Jr., Noli Entero, John Phil Opigal, Tirso Ramon Roa, Julius Tapia, Jonel Palang, Rolando Rafol Warlloo Sabella, and Orlando Salera from Cebu.  Also making the grade were Leyte’s Edwin Tumampo and Manila’s John Aaron Carlos.

Seven other Cebuano coaches have provisionally passed, but still need to comply some requirements in other to get their C License.

Some of those who passed the course were recognized during the half-time break of the championship match of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) at the Cebu City Sports Center last Sunday evening.

The participants of the coaching course also facilitated the conduct of the football clinic last Saturday morning as part of the Smart-PFF National Club Championships.

Coach Aris Caslib, who conducted the coaching course last August told the CFA board during a dinner at Dakay’s residence that he was very happy that majority of the participants were young.

The coach said that this would mean we are investing in coaches, who could devote many years to helping develop the sport in this part of the country.

Those interested to join the course next month can visit the CFA office located at the old Sambag 1 Barangay Hall right beside the main gate of the Cebu City Sports Center along R. Landon St., Cebu City.

The PFF is gearing towards allowing only licensed coaches to handle teams by 2014.  This will be an excellent opportunity for Cebu-based coaches to get licensed without having to go to some other place. (PR from fullpointcebu.com) (FREEMAN)
