Lexmark, Calltek prevail in CSCC E-League

CEBU, Philippines - The Lexmark Stallions and the Calltek Trojans smothered separate foes in the continuing action of the 9th CSCC E-League for Basketball last Saturday at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Ian Froi Divinagracia fired 22 points and six rebounds as Lexmark drubbed the Sykes Pioneers, 78-70, while Christian Judilla churned out 23 points, seven rebounds, two blocks, two steals and two assists to power Calltek to an 82-59 thrashing of the Executive Boutique Lycans.

Siegfred Ofonda and Jake Pia connived for 29 points, 13 rebounds, and three steals for Lexmark, which was in full control of the match after taking an early 21-15 lead.

Frederick Montelibano led Sykes with 25 points, five rebounds and two steals, while Gerald Bien Galarido scored 20 on top of seven rebounds and two steals in a losing effort.

On the other hand, Judilla was backed up by Mark Louise Gellez with 13 points, two rebounds and two steals. It was truly a team effort for Calltek as all 13 players it fielded in hit the scoring chart.

Calltek led by only five at halftime, 28-33, but ripped the game apart using a decisive 30-10 rally in the third quarter.

Gestoni Santos topped Executive Boutique with 17 points, seven rebounds, and two steals. Andrew Thomas John Hilvano had 14 points and Henderson Go nailed 11 markers on top of five rebounds for the Lycans, who are still winless in six starts.

In the other game, the Teleperformance Lions won by forfeiture over the struggling Telstra-Teletech Titans. (FREEMAN)
