Uphill Run set in Carmen

CEBU, Philippines - Another running event will take place in Carmen north of Cebu via the Uphill Run on August 18. The race is titled as such because it will pass through Ipil, a hilly portion of the said municipality.

The event features the 3-kilometer distance for Carmen residents and students and the 5K and 8K open categories for competitive runners.

Entry fee is pegged at P375 for the 8K and P300 for the 5K inclusive of singlets and P50 for the 3K without singlet.

Registration forms are available at the Carmen Municipal Hall and at Runnr in Ayala Center Cebu. One may also call D5 at 0935-2601000 for further details.

All 8K finishers will get medals.       

There will also be a special award for the biggest delegation. With this, the organizers are requiring each registered team to wear their singlets or company uniforms and run together until the finish line to be included in the judging. (FREEMAN)
