All systems go for A-Plus All Weather Cebu Fun Run

CEBU, Philippines - As part of its community outreach project this time through sports, the A-Plus All Weather Paint will stage its first ever Cebu Fun Run on June 9 starting and ending at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu.

“This fun run is a great opportunity for A-Plus All Weather Paint to thank the Cebuanos in their support of its product making it one of the most sought-after paint brand in the Visayas and Mindanao region,” said All-Weather Paint Operations Head Pepito Lim during the event's formal launchinbg yesterday's at Quest Hotel.

A-Plus All Weather has been doing outreach programs in Cebu for the past several years having conducted beforfe several medical and dental missions. It has also donated paints to various local schools, and churches and has supported an orphanage house.

This year, it has chosen the Asilo de la Milagrosa as the beneficiary of its first ever charity run that features the 3K, 5K and 10K categories.

To attract more participants, the organizers are pegging the registration fee at P350 for all race distances inclusive of a singlet, timing device and refreshments. Students will be made to play only P150 without a singlet.

There's also promo for a group of five plus one free and a group of 10 plus three.

Race director Joel Baring of the Sports and Fitness Enthusiasts (SAFE) promised that the runners of an accurate timing using a  bar code.

A total of P80,000 in cash prize will be given away to the top finishers. Aside from customized medals, the top three winners in both men and women's division in the 10K action will receive P5,000, P4,000 and P3,000, respectively, while the first three in the 5K will pocket P3,000, P2,000 and P1,000. In the 3K, the top three will get P1,000, P800 and P500. Those who will make it to the top 10 in all three classes will receive corresponding prizes according to their ranks.

As a highlight to the run, A-Plus All Weather will be bringing in its famous ambassedress known as the Paintbabes composed of the awesome foursome beauties of Kristine Santamera, Kim Chi, Alain Morata and Kriz Nuqui.       Participants as well as the spectators will have a chance to mingle with them as they will hold an open photoshoot, facilitate some parlor games and several other surprises highlighted by a raffle draw after the race.
