CEBU, Philippines - Christy Sevilleno-Tutor and Isaac Simat led the winners’ list in the Cebu leg of the PhilHealth Nationwide Run yesterday at the Cebu Business Park.
Tutor came out the fastest in the women's 18K race with the time of one hour, 25 minutes and 41.14 seconds. Jhean Andrin finished second in 1:25:42.02, while the vastly-improved Virginia Parajenog, an multi-titled ultra runner, wound up third in 1:31:08.44.
Simat lorded it over in the men's division with the time of 1:00:57:60. James Mibac timed 1:01:52.11, which is good for second place as Abraham Missos ended up third in 1:00:56.10.
In ther women's 10K battle, Mary Joy Tabal took the top spot in 39 minutes and 14.30 seconds followed by Lovely Andrin (43:55.69) and Mary Jane Beboso (49:20.73).
The top three in the men's side were Kenyan Josphat Kiptanui (32:46.83), Philip Duenas (34:02.10), and Jobert Carolino (34:09:26).
Cherry Andrin, for her part, ruled the women's 5K with a time of 22:10.93, while Joel Delposo topped the men’s class in 16:32.57.
The top three finishers in the 3K were Jorry Ycong, Lynle Cardenas, Ralph Eduard So and Sarah Lee Pizon. (FREEMAN)
