CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu City government's Division for the Welfare of the Urban Poor (DWUP) has started distributing Deeds of Absolute Sale (DAS) to the homeowners under lot 1119 Nivel Hills Homeowners Association (HOA) of Brgy. Apas.
According to DWUP, a total of 13 residents were already able to get hold of their DAS.
DWUP’s Executive Director, Atty. Ronald Anthony Librando said that this is just the first batch and they are set to distribute more.
Librando explained that his office worked on the backlogs that paved the way for the distribution of deed of absolute sale.
“So, atong gibuhat karon sa akong liderato mao nga gipangtrabaho karon ang mga backlog, unya usa ni sa mga resulta sa atong gipangtrabaho nga backlog, Librando said through the City’s PIO.
After receiving the DAS, the next thing that the homeowners will be working on is the individual titles, which is DWUP’s ultimate goal as well.
“Ang atong purpose, ato man gyud aim nga makaangkon gyud sila og title, individual title. Karon na-distribute na nato ang deed of absolute sale, so next step ana, pag-process na sa individual title,” Librando said.
Homeowners also expressed their happiness with the latest development while thanking the City government and DWUP for accommodating them well.
“Sa tinuod lang, ang DWUP karon dako na kaayo na og pultahan. Mo-open gyud sila, modawat sa nagkinahanglan,” said Gloria Poloyapoy, president of the NHHOA after all the years of waiting.
“Mao na mopasalamat gyud mi karon ni Atty. (Ronald Anthony) Librando. Kalipay gyud na namong nadawat. Ug ni Mayor(Raymond) Garcia sad, kay kaniadto pagsugod namo ani ang iyang Papa maoy nagpalit aning yuta, si Mayor Alvin Garcia,” Poloyapoy added. ATO (CEBU NEWS)
