PB commends CPPO, PDEA-7

Based on the Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value, the confiscated drugs was estimated to be worth P1.36 million.

CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu Provincial Board has commended the Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA 7) for the recent arrest of a high-value individual (HVI) resulting in the seizure of over P1 million worth of shabu.

Last August 21, Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of CPPO in coordination with PDEA 7 carried out a buy-bust operation where they arrested a certain Rolex, 44, in sitio Gmelina 2, Barangay Tayud, Liloan town.

During the operation, authorities have confiscated an estimated 200 grams of suspected shabu from the suspect who is residing in Barangay Maslog, Danao City in Northern Cebu. Based on the Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value, the confiscated drugs was estimated to be worth P1.36 million.

“Such operation demonstrates the strong determination of our Anti-Drug Enforcement Forces in seizing every opportunity to be on the offensive mode against illegal drugs and other criminalities in the Province of Cebu,” read a portion of the resolution authored by Provincial Board Member Thadeo Jovito Ouano, chairman of the PB Committee on Public Safety, Peace and Order, and Dangerous Drugs Prevention. — (FREEMAN)
