CEBU, Philippines — A whooping P3.5 billion Annual Investment Plan (AIP) for 2025 has been approved by the City of Toledo development council.
The proposed AIP with a total amount of P3,527,789,117.24 was presented by City Planning and Development Officer Daryl Carabio before the members of the council on Thursday, September 12, during their council meeting.
The AIP will finance the various programs of the city like the infrastructure, health, and education among others.
According to the Toledo City Public Information Office, the allocation will be distributed to four key sectors which include economic services, infrastructure development, general public services, and social services.
“This will significantly enhance services in Toledo, improving health, social welfare, environmental protection, security, and youth development,” the PIO said.
Toledo City Mayor Marjorie Perales led the meeting of the council with Vice Mayor Jay Sigue, members of the city council, department heads, barangay captains, and other local officials in Toledo including the private sector.
Third District Congressman Pablo John “PJ” Garcia also attended the meeting wherein he promised that more projects will be poured into the city. This includes the P175 million allocation for CTU- Toledo Campus, P5 million medical assistance, which will be available at the Toledo City Hospital, and more road projects.
Garcia and Perales also led the turnover of the construction of a box culvert, road opening, and concreting in Barangay Claudio, Toledo on September 12. The P10-million worth of concreted road will benefit 23 sitios in the said barangay. – (FREEMAN)
