PB commends Talisay City Police for arrest of HVI with P10M drugs
CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu Provincial Board has approved a resolution commending Talisay City Police Station of the Cebu Police Provincial Office (CCPO) after recently apprehending a high-value individual (HVI) and confiscating P10.2 million worth of shabu.
Last July 19, Talisay City Police carried out an anti-illegal drug operation where they arrested Annabel Cabellon Cabriana alias Kolot, 22, who allegedly worked as a drug warehouse caretaker in Barangay Bulacao, Talisay City.
According to authorities, the 22-year-old woman started as a small-time drug player in 2022 and was later entrusted to keeping kilos of shabu.
Prior to the buybust operation, Cabriana was subjected to a one-week monitoring surveillance after authorities received intel from a confidential informant that she was involved in a large-scale illegal drug business.
When the Drug Enforcement Unit operatives got enough information regarding her illegal drug activities, the buy-bust operation was immediately conducted that resulted in her arrest.
Such operation demonstrates the strong determination of our Anti-Drug Enforcement Forces in seizing every opportunity to be on the offensive mode against illegal drugs and other criminalities in the Province of Cebu, read a portion of the resolution authored by Provincial Board Member Thadeo Jovito Ouano, who chairs the PB Committee on Public Safety, Peace and Order; and Dangerous Drugs Prevention.
This commendation is under Section 5, Article II of the Philippine Constitution declaring the maintenance of peace and order, protection of life, liberty, and property, and promotion of the general welfare.
