PRO-7 prepares for summer break
CEBU, Philippines — With just a few weeks left before the summer vacation officially kicks in next month, Police
Regional Office (PRO)-7 has started the preparations for deploy of police personnel in various tourist spots to ensure a safe summer vacation.
Summer vacation will commence in March yet but the regional police office has started conducting assessment to determine the number of personnel needed to be deployed in different tourist destinations.
PRO-7 spokesperson Lt. Col. Gerard Ace Pelare said they need to initiate the summer vacation security ahead. He said they usually initiate summer vacation security in March, but some adjustments were to be made since some schools and universities follow a different school calendar, with some opening the school year in June and July.
“We will start assessing kung kanus-a ta mag-deploy og mas daghang tawo sa mga tourist
destination based also sa flow ug sa transport sa mga tawo,” Pelare said.
