2 morning fire incidents hit Cebu City on Tuesday

CEBU, Philippines — Firefighters have responded to two fire incidents that occurred in different areas in Cebu City on Tuesday morning.

The two fire incidents left over a million pesos worth of damages.

The first alarm hit in the morning at Greenwood Village, Barangay Pulang Bato, Cebu City at 7:27 a.m. on February 6, 2024.

The first-alarm fire that hit a residential area started at the house owned by Cynthia Quirina and was declared a fire-out at 7:41 a.m.

The fire, though, wasn't able to engulf nearby residences and left a total damage of P1.2 million.

Meanwhile, another fire alarm was also responded to by the members of the Bureau of Fire Protection-7 at 10:00 yesterday morning in Lower Tac-an, Barangay Budlaan, Cebu City.

The fire started at the house occupied by a certain Melanio Saranillo, but it also did not affect nearby houses as it was immediately put out.

Fire investigators are still conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the two incidents. — (FREEMAN)
