Outgoing SKF prexy to stay in City Hall

MANILA, Philippines — Outgoing Sangguniang Kabataan Federation president Jessica Resch is expected to continue working with the Cebu City government.

This as Mayor Michael Rama named her as overseer on the city’s youth development program.

Resch is expected to guide the newly-elected SKF president Rhea Jakosalem, Rama said yesterday in his regular program over the city’s Sugboanon channel.

Together with Resch, Jakosalem is expected to be guided by Rama’s chief of staff and Local School Board’s in-charge Kim Esmena along with Councilors Donaldo Hontiveros and Joy Pesquera.

Rama said Resch can now be considered a veteran and can be molded as one of those that would replace them for an elected position in the future.

Resch’s stint with the SKF is a good foundation for the future especially with the idealisms of the youth.

As Resch’s term as SKF will end soon, Rama said she is good as hired in the city government following her track record.

“Good as hired nana siya…In view of the fact, sa iyang achievement, sa pagda (on the SKF),” Rama said.

Rama added that he wants Resch to continue building all the youth centers in the barangays that he envisions.

The mayor also said he wants to build own building for SK in the future.
