Cebu City MICS sets new goals

CEBU, Philippines — Cebu City’s Management Information and Computer Services (MICS) conducted a strategic planning session (SPS) with the aim of setting new goals based on what it has achieved so far.

“There are moments where we pause to rest and reflect on our progress, just as we do when ascending a mountain. These pauses are essential for us to gather insights and energy for the next phase of our journey,” said MICS department head Dax Arcilla.

To be able to move forward, participants started the SPS with an individual and group assessment activity on their department’s achievements from January to June of the current year.

“This assessment not only showcases our achievements but also empowers us with insights into our departments’ strengths. Just as climbers rely on their strengths to reach the summit, we rely on our capabilities to reach our strategic objectives,” added Arcilla.

Each group’s projects, initiatives, and performance measures were then reviewed.

Arcilla’s statement during the opening ceremonies resonated throughout the session, as participants recognized the significance of assessing achievements and the personnel capacity within the department, MICS’ PR team said.

The evaluation of project accomplishments seamlessly connected with the broader assessment of the team’s capabilities.

All insights are expected to drive decisions for setting new goals, refining strategies, and allocating resources effectively in alignment with the department’s vision for the rest of the year and beyond. — (FREEMAN)
