CEBU, Philippines — The CebuDoctors University Hospital celebrates its 50 years of improving lives and Dr. Potenciano “Yong” Larrazabal III is elated to continuing what has been started with the sole purpose of bringing healthcare to the community.

“The fact that I am a proactive person makes me so excited about the future. I am excited for what's ahead of CebuDoc for the next 50 years," the chairman said.

He said the 50 years will be sustained through expansions as the institution desires to remarkably touch the hearts of many with the valuable patient care that everyone deserves.

“We are seeing a future which will probably include a charity hospital subsidized by our other hospitals because we want a future that not only treats patients who can afford, but also those who cannot," he said.

“It has been an honor to share with you, the public, CebuDoc's progressive ride of 50 years, may you remain to be with us to continue this long drive," Larrazabal added.

The leading health care facilityin the Visayas and Mindanao is now celebrating its 50th anniversary and wellness fair as it amplified its gratitude to the allies inside and outside of the hospital who took part in cementing the latter’s reputation.

To fully present the gratitude for what has been a fruitful year, CebuDoc hosted an appreciation event dubbed as 'Daghang Salamat Cebu' that scoops out its simple representation, to give thanks.

During the event, several sectors and individuals that have made significant contributions were invited.

In particular, they were the members of the media, sponsors, and the public who will also benefit from the services which the Wellness Fair offers.

The event also includes an awarding ceremony for the CebuDoc's Perfect Attendance and Service Awardees. The recipients of these awards were the employees of the hospital who are recognized for their undeniable dedication reflected in their respective job performance.

The month-long anniversary celebration served its purpose of bringing healthcare to the community that began with an exhibit in CebuDoc Medical Arts Building 1 and Robinsons Galleria, respectively.

The kick-off was formally opened last August 8, 2022 with the exhibit which will be set forth until the end of this month.

CebuDoc then hosted a partner's appreciation meeting that recognizes the strong alliance with the various private sectors and HMOs who substantiated the accessible healthcare services to the community.

The Partner's Appreciation Meeting last August 22, 2022 also included an awarding ceremony to the deserving outstanding partners and their Most Valuable Liaison Officers in the seven member hospitals of CebuDoc Group.

For Dr. Larrazabal III, these events are just a piece of the CebuDoc Group's value as a compassionate healthcare provider.

Dr.Larrazabal III propounded that it has been his father's foresight that the CebuDoc Group will be an institution that serves the Cebuano with quality and innovative healthcare.

This year's anniversary celebration will not be completed without going back to this mission that will be channeled through a Wellness Fair.

This year CebuDoc offers the following services:free check-up for kids and adults, free eye check-up, free reading glasses, free scoliosis screening, free capillary blood sugar, blood typing, and fasting blood sugar, free blood pressure check, free nutrition counseling, free medicines and vitamins, free cholesterol check andfree zumba session.

Aside from these services, the hospital's Human Resource Department will be holding job recruitment for those who desire to share the same values with the CebuDoc Group employees. — GMR (FREEMAN)
