BOC-Cebu among 4 gold awardees

CEBU, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs in Cebu was among the four collection districts in the country that were recognized for their transformation commitment and outstanding compliance to the Performance Governance System (PGS).

The Port of Cebu was named among the gold collection district awardees because of its best effort in PGS implementation, exceeding the minimum requirements by showcasing breakthroughs at the unit or enterprise level that demonstrate its progress towards transformation.

The other gold collection district awardees are the Manila International Container Port, Ninoy Aquino International Airport, and Port of Subic.

The Revenue Collection Monitoring Group (RCMG), Internal Administration Group (IAG), Management Information Systems and Technology Group (MISTG), Assessment and Operations and Coordinating Group (AOCG), Intelligence Group (IG), Enforcement Group (EG) and Post-Clearance Audit Group (PCAG) also received the gold award.

A bronze award was given to eight collection districts for meeting the minimum requirements necessary for the completion of the BOC-PGS compliance stage. 

The recipients include the Port of Davao, Port of Limay, Port of Manila, Port of Clark, Port of Iloilo, Port of San Fernando La Union, Port of Surigao, and Port of Legazpi.

A silver award was given to groups and collection districts that exceeded the minimum requirements of the first stage through introducing innovations in its PGS implementation journey. 

The two silver awardees are the Port of Zamboanga and Port of Tacloban. 

Customs commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero together with PGS core team head, Atty. Lourdes V. Mangaoang, and Office for Strategy Management (OSM) central unit head, Atty. Noemi A. Garcia, presented the awards to the recipients— FPL (FREEMAN)
