The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has finally approved the Tabunok to IT Park route.

The route covers Bulacao, highway, E-Mall, Colon, Sto. Nino, Osmeña Boulevard, Capitol, Escario, Gorordo, JY Square in Lahug and IT Park and vice versa. The fare is P35.

First trip is 6 a.m. and the last one is at 6 p.m. Terminal for this route is in Alturas-Tabunok.

“I’d like to thank LTFRB for allowing a new route that will help our Talisaynons who are working in the city and also allowing public transport to cross to Cebu City,” Talisay Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas said in a Facebook post.

He said a total of eight units will temporarily traverse this route.

Although thankful, Gullas is hopeful that LTFRB will also allow smaller PUJs to operate.

“I have already expressed my desire to LTFRB that while I’m happy that naa nay new route, kuwang ghapon ni. Hopefully they will allow smaller PUJs modagan usab to complement this, even the traditional ones,” said Gullas. — KQD (FREEMAN)
