Province exceeds 2019 income target
CEBU, Philippines — The Province of Cebu has already exceeded its income target for this year.
In an interview, Provincial Treasurer Atty. Roy Salubre disclosed that the Province of Cebu, as of October of this year, has already reached past its annual total income target for the year 2019.
"October pa gani, lapas na ta," Salubre said.
He said the achievement is because of Governor Gwen Garcia's support in the collection of the province's dues.
"Intensify collections kay makapangolekta na ta'g maayo kay si Gov. Gwen supportive man kaayo. Lisod baya kaayo if kita-kita ra," he said.
The total locally-sourced revenue has reached P740,489,341, which is past the P729,355,778 annual target for this year. This puts the annual income of the province already at 101.53 percent.
Local internal sources stand at P229,197,858.38, or 114.22 percent. The annual target for local internal sources was only projected at P200,655,778.
This includes revenue from taxes, fees, fines and penalties collected by the Province of Cebu.
Tax revenues reached 118.08 percent with P176,499,364.28, as compared to the P149,470,000 annual target.
The non-tax receipts stand at 102.96 percent with P52,698,494.10, as compared to the target of P51,185,778.
The Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) is at P2,821,282,470, or 82.19 percent of the target of P3,432,500,116.
Salubre, however, assured that they expect to meet the IRA target by December.
"Ang IRA sa end of the year definitely," he said.
The Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) earned P56,767,374.10, or 86.34 percent of the target of P65,750,000.
Meanwhile, earnings from district hospitals have reached P3,450,692,863.07, which is 84.81 percent of the target P4,068,505,894.
The Special Education Fund (SEF) has also went past the target of P99,450,000, after they have reached P115,841,802.27 or 116.48 percent. (FREEMAN)
