CEBU, Philippines — A 42-year-old fruit vendor was robbed by two unidentified men in Barangay Buanoy, Balamban, Cebu on Sunday.

The victim identified as Jenely Manigos, a resident of the place, lost P20,000.

Police Officer 2 Donald Pitogo said the victim was on her way to Poblacion, Balamban to shop for her fruit business at around 4:30 a.m. when an unidentified man wearing a hoodie approached her and grabbed her bag that contains P20,000 cash.

Another unidentified man who serves as lookout was waiting several meters away.

Manigos believed that she has been monitored by the robbers.

"Dako ang pagtuo sa biktima nga gipanid-an na siya daan sa mga suspects," said Pitogo.

Pitogo said there is a big possibility that the robbers are just living nearby as they were able to monitor the victim's activities, including her schedule in going to the market. (FREEMAN)
