CEBU, Philippines - The Civil Service Commission is holding a six-day onsite processing of applications in at least three component cities starting next week.
Applicants do not need to go to CSC office in Barangay Lahug to file their documents because the commission’s personnel will be in Danao City on February 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
They will be in Mandaue City on February 18 at 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; Bogo City on February 19 at 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and at Robinsons Fuente Mall on February 22, 23 and 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Applicants are advised to bring with them the following requirements: Properly accomplished examination application form (CS Form No. 100, Revised 2015); four copies of identical I.D. pictures passport size; original and photocopy of any valid IDs.
For applicants without date of birth in their I.D. card(s), they are required to submit an original and photocopy of Birth Certificate issued/authenticated by the National Statistics Office.
On the other hand, applicants holding dual citizenship under R.A. 9225 need to bring original and photocopy of Certification of Retention/Re-acquisition of Philippine Citizenship issued by the Bureau of Immigration
Prolaine Daclan, CSC-7 chief personal specialist, said applicants still have at least 18 days left to catch up the deadline for application, which is on February 26.
Daclan is reminding interested takers to file applications ahead of the deadline to avoid hassles.
The nationwide Career Service Examination - Paper and Pencil Test will be on April 17, both for professional and sub-professional levels.
Testing centers in Region VII will be in the cities of Cebu, Dumaguete and Tagbilaran. Examination fee is P500.
Failure to take the said examination on scheduled date would mean forfeiture of the fee and slot. (FREEMAN)
