CEBU, Philippines - A man died after falling off the tricycle and ran over by a bus along the national highway in Barangay Sabang, Sibonga last Sunday evening.
Joy Alvino Alvarado Divinagracia, 48, of Barangay Candaguit, reportedly fell off the tricycle he was riding past 7 p.m. when it bumped a spare tire used as improvised early warning device placed in the middle of the road.
The impact had Divinagracia thrown into the middle of the highway while a speeding Ceres Bus was coming from the opposite direction. The bus ran over the victim but the driver did not surrender.
Police Officer 1 Mercy Sedillo, desk officer, said they have retrieved security footage from a nearby establishment but needs to be enhanced to help them identify the bus driver.
Meanwhile, three people were injured after two motorcycles collided Sunday noon in Malabuyoc town.
Camilo Carido, of Montanesa Malabuyoc, and Dennis Dorangparang Callobroso, and Constancio Gaumba Dabodabo, 43, both of Sta. Filomina, Alegria, were immediately brought to the hospital.
Police Officer 3 Jake Semilla, desk officer of Malabuyoc Police Station, said that both motorcycles were heading to Cebu City from Malabuyoc town.
Callobroso tried to overtake Carido but hit the latter’s motorcycle instead.
Callobroso suffered severe injuries while the rest suffered minor injuries. (FREEMAN)
