CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu provincial government will distribute 14 units of mini ambulance worth P2.8 million to municipalities in the province.
Two multicabs will also be given to the towns of Argao and Tudela while two motorcycles will be intended for the city of Mandaue.
Provincial Information Office head Ethel Natera says some municipalities long desire for the mini ambulance since those who are in emergency situation will easily be brought from barangays to hospitals.
“Kay daghan man ang lugar nga lisod sudlon, so mas maayo gyud ni ang (mini) ambulance,” she said.
The recipients of the mini ambulance are seven barangays in Daanbantayan, three barangays in Argao, Tayud in Consolacion, South Poblacion in San Fernando, Poblacion Uno in Carcar City, and Camp 7 in Minglanilla.
Meanwhile, barangays Usmad, Argao and Puertobello in Tudela will each have multicab unit with a total cost of P268,000.
Barangay Cambaro in Mandaue City will receive two Honda CFT 125 motorcycles costing P134,000.
Each unit of mini ambulance costs P204,500.
“Sa giingon ni Gov naay uban ani nga taud-taud na ang request pero tingbon lang nato ang pag-palit, maong ang uban nalangan,” she said.

“Kaning mini ambulances kay kani ang kinahanglanon gyud labi na sa mga barangay nga lagyo kaayo. Hopefully, with this (mini ambulances) sayon nalang kaayo pagdala sa ilang pasyente sa poblacion or even ngari sa siyudad,” Davide told The Freeman. (FREEMAN)
