Bryner L. Diaz - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines –  A fisherman was found floating dead in the waters off Barangay Tayud, Consolacion, Cebu last Friday morning.

Residents of Sitio Looc in Barangay Tayud found Amrafil Lucabon, a native of Barangay Manguiao, Asturias, floating dead at 8 .am. on Friday.

Lucabon’s live-in partner Evelyn Velayo has reportedly been looking for the victim after he failed to come back home from fishing.

She rushed to the shore after she was notified that her spouse’s body was found.

She eventually identified the body as that of Lucabon.

The police, who were informed by the barangay, are looking into the circumstance of the victim’s death, although they initially believed that there was no foul play.

Meanwhile, a man who was allegedly suffering from a nervous breakdown died after he reportedly fell from a cliff in Barangay Dunggoan, Danao City on Thursday night.

The body of Camilo Diamante, 63, was found by employees of Frasec Ventures Corporation who were quarrying in the area.

The police believe that Diamante died of internal hemorrhage after falling off the cliff.

In Barangay Cabungahan, also in Danao City, a man died after his motorcycle fell into a 14-feet ravine last Friday noon.

Ritchie Rano was brought to the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Danao City, but succumbed to severe injuries.

The victim was driving a motorcycle and was heading from his house to Barangay Poblacion when he allegedly miscalculated while negotiating a curve and fell into the ravine.

He was taken out of the ravine and was brought to the hospital where he died two hours later. —/NSA  (FREEMAN)
