Four men shoot man, daughter
CEBU, Philippines - A 62-year-old father and his daughter were injured after they were shot by unidentified gunmen last Sunday evening.
Injured were Josefine Mamac, 36, and Eusebio Basillote, both residents of sitio Bokyol, Poblacion III, Carcar City.
Police said the father and daughter were sitting in front of their “sari-sari store” at about 8:40 in the evening when four men on two motorcycles arrived, one of them firing a shot.
Witnesses said that the culprits were looking for a certain “Eric”.
The four men approached Macmac and Basillote and asked them for the whereabouts of a certain “Eric.”
Moments later, the four men shot father and daughter.
Eusebio sustained a gunshot wound on the right leg while the daughter suffered wounds on the different parts of her body.
The men then fled.
PO1 Renedo Villaraez of the Carcar police station said the men’s faces were not covered.
Villaraez said recovered from the crime scene were five empty shells for a .9mm caliber gun and five empty shells for a .45 caliber firearm.
“Naa mi gi-custody pero dili pa ni siya matawag ug suspect kay under investigation pa ni siya,” Renedo said.
