CEBU, Philippines - At least P90,000 worth of cash and checks were carted away by two men who reportedly robbed a pharmacy sales agent at gunpoint Thursday midnight in Poblacion, Toledo City.

The victim was identified as Reneboy Sinadjan, 29, a native of Halapitan, San Fernando, Bukidnon, and a sales agent of JJYSRINN Trading Incorporated, a company that sells medicine.

Police Officer 1 Edmond Leston of Toledo City Police Station narrated that Sinadjan and his 22-year-old driver, Riel Jun Cabaluna, who hails from Barangay Opol, Misamis Oriental, parked their service delivery van in Magsaysay Hills, Barangay Poblacion.

Suddenly, the two men riding a motorcycle and wearing black jackets, helmets and mask, appeared.

The backrider disembarked and allegedly pointed a cal. 45 pistol at the victims. He then grabbed Sinadjan’s sling bag that contained money collected from pharmacies.

Carted away were P50,000 cash and six checks from five different pharmacies.

The robbers sped off toward the highway while the victims immediately reported the incident to Toledo Police Station. — Ma. Fatima R. Secuya/NSA (FREEMAN)
