One dead, another hurt as motorcycle falls off cliff
CEBU, Philippines - A motorcycle-for-hire driver died while his passenger was injured after they fell off a cliff in Barangay Agsungot, Cebu City yesterday noon.
Jason Magdadaro, 26, who was driving the motorcycle with plate number 4348OU, died while Ramon Roel Alcansado, 39, a resident of Barangay Guadalupe, was injured.
Based on the text message sent by City Traffic Operations Management operations chief Joy Tumulak, Magdadaro was reportedly driving fast and was headed downhill.
Tumulak said that when the motorcycle passed a curvy road, it reportedly went through a 30-foot cliff. The two fell and landed on rocks and boulders.
Tumulak stated that Magdadaro and Alcansado were immediately rushed to the Cebu City Medical Center.
Magdadaro was pronounced dead while Alcansado was admitted to the hospital for further medical treatment.
