Some roads closed on Saturday for Press Freedom culmination

CEBU, Philippines - Motorists are advised to use alternative routes on Saturday, September 27, 2014, as the portion of Cardinal Rosales Ave. in Cebu Business Park will be closed from 4 a.m to 10 a.m to give way to the Cebu Press Freedom Week activities.

Fitness activities will cap the Cebu Press Freedom Week celebration with the annual fun run headlined among the activities on the culmination day.

Registration and distribution of race singlets will be on the day of the run starting 5 a.m. at the City Sports Club Cebu lobby. 250 slots will be allotted to the participants on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Media men from print and broadcast organizations will compete against each other in a test of cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and flexibility in the Metafit Bio Challenge hosted by the coach of Metafit Cebu and winner of the Biggest Loser Philippines 2011, Alan Chuachoy.

A Zumba workout will also be held at the Linear Park for team supporters.

The Cebu Press Freedom Run is supported by Cebu Holdings Inc. in partnership with Ayala Center Cebu, Marriott Hotel and City Sports Club Cebu. (FREEMAN)
