CEBU, Philippines - A mudslide was reported Sunday along the provincial road leading to the vegetable basket of Cebu in Mantalongon, Dalaguete after a heavy downpour over the weekend.

The incident occurred in Sitio Palingpaling, Barangay Obo where Capitol has a road widening project. Junrey Tenefrancia of the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in Dalaguete reported that the mudslide has rendered the road impassable for four-wheeled vehicles since Sunday until 11 a.m. yesterday.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office staff, Moises Plaza, said area was already cleared and is now passable for all types of vehicles.

No casualty and damage to property were recorded, except for the delay in the transport of vegetables from Mantalongon to the market.
