CEBU, Philippines - The public is urged to maximize the pilot program of Loyalty Card by state Housing Development Mutual Fund.

As pilot areas, the cities of Cebu, Davao and Baguio have been implementing the program since March this year.

According to Pag-IBIG Cebu North frontier services head Dale Mark Francisco, the card entitles discounts in partner firms per transaction.

In Cebu and Davao, partners include Bread Factory, Davao Doctors College, EMCOR, Jose Maria College, HardwareMaxx, NDS NCCC Department Store,  Penong’s, Trans-Asia Shipping Lines and the University of the Visayas.

National partners include 2Go Travel, George Eyewear, Healthway Medi-Acess, Hi-Precision Diagnostics, PETRON Gasul, PETRON, PhilLife Financial, Pfizer, PhilCare, Philippine Women’s University, STI and The Generics Pharmacy.

Francisco added that their agency is in talks with future partners “ironing out” requests and specifications for the memorandum of agreement.

Among them are Perpetual Succor Hospital, Jollibee, Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, St. Lukes Hospital, Weesam, University of Cebu, Cebu Doctors University, Gaisano Capital and Alpha City Suites.

The card, Francisco added, bears no expiry date but can be replaced once lost or when details, like civil status, are changed.

The card costs P100 and each member has to fill out application form and photocopy of one valid identification card.

On a national level, the target card production is 200,000 and as of August 16, a total of 158,633 has been produced.

Northern Cebu has so far produced 56,220 card of the 60,000 target while southern Cebu has so far reached 42,293 of the 70,000 goal.

The first phase of the pilot implementation runs from March to September while the second phase will tentatively start October. — (FREEMAN)
