American national, 2 others nabbed for illegal drugs

CEBU, Philippines - An American national and two Filipinos, one of them wanted for robbery, were arrested after they were caught having a drug session inside a pension house at Pelaez corner Sanciangko Streets, Cebu City yesterday.

Carbon Police arrested Thomas Clark Redenius, 49, Rna-Laun Lastimoso, 30, and his cousin Alexander Lastimoso, 32, of Ward 4, Minglanilla town, who was subject of the operation.

Senior Police Officer Antonio Barade, desk officer, said Alexander had a standing warrant of arrest issued by Judge Generoso Labra of the Regional Trial Court Branch 23.

Yesterday morning, the suspect was spotted at the pension house prompting the Alert Team of Carbon Police composed of Senior Police Officers 1 Necito dela Victoria Jr. and Artemio Tundag III, Police Officer 3 Roy Cabahug and Police Officer 2 Vinancio Sularte to proceed to the area armed with the warrant.

Upon reaching the place, the policemen entered a room where Rna-Laun was staying to look for Alexander.

There they found the three sniffing shabu and arrested them immediately.

Barade said Alexander was placed under surveillance for quite some time already prior to his arrest.

The suspects are temporarily detained at Carbon Police Station.  (FREEMAN)
