Briton jailed for rape arrested anew
CEBU, Philippines - A 73-year-old British national was arrested Friday by the police for three counts of Acts of Lasciviousness.
The arrest was made at the Carcar City Jail where the accused, StanleyJames Lamb, is detained for allegedly raping three minors in April this year. The same minors are the complainants in the charges for Acts of Lasciviousness.
Regional Trial Court Branch 24 Judge James Stewart Himalalon issued the warrant of arrest against Lamb. The court allowed P60,000 bail for Lamb’s temporary liberty.
Lamb, however, will remain in detention even if he would post bail for three counts of Acts of Lasciviousness because he is facing a separate case for rape, which is non-bailable.
Lamb was previously arrested in his rented house in Camagayan, Barangay Perrelos, Carcar City after he was accused of raping two five-year-old and one nine-year-old girls in April this year.
The rape case is now pending before the sala of RTC Branch 6 Judge Soliver Peras. (FREEMAN)
