MCWD introduces new one-stop shop

CEBU, Philippines - To attain fast and efficient transactions for their customer’s satisfaction, the Metropolitan Cebu Water District has launched its One-Stop Shop Center in the building’s ground floor.

The center is manned by ten customer service representatives that would handle different transactions-from complaints to requests of consumers.

MCWD Assistant General Manager for operations Ernie Delco said that before they opened the center, consumers would go to different department offices, depending on the information needed.

“Sa una man gud, lain-laing transactions, lain-lain pod nga opisina. Mao nang lisod. Karon, bisan kinsa nga staff sa One-Stop shop, kamao na sa proseso tanan,” he said.

MCWD Chairman of the Board Renato Mercado said the office has come up with the idea so they can ease the burden of their customers in going up and down their building.

“Naa sad nakit-an nato nga mga tiguwang ba nga mag-aginod padulong saka sa building using the stairs kay mahadlok mosakay og elevator,” he said.

Mercado stressed that the objective of the center is to give the service that the consumers deserve.

“In the next few days, we will monitor from the time they enter the door until they will go out. We will monitor how long will it take and we will take measures to improve it,” he said.

MCWD Assistant General Manager for Finance Myra Petralba-Ravelo said a new system was set to automatically link the different transactions from the centers to the nine action departments, such as; Billing Department, Service Connection Installation Department, Financial Management Department, Project Management Department, Legal Department, Maintenance and Support Services Department, and Water Resources-Knowledge Center.

“Actually, duha ka aspect ang One-Stop shop, we have the face to face encounter which you will come here and talk with our customer service representatives and second is we have our call center that can cater your transactions except of course the payment,” she said.

The One-Stop Shop Center is open from Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m.to 5 p.m. —/ATO (FREEMAN)
