CEBU, Philippines - The British national who was shot dead Saturday by his security guard in Daanbantayan will be cremated before his remains will be repatriated to England within this week.
Dr. Felino Brunia, medico-legal-officer of the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory-7, said he already signed the death certificate of Anthony Gilchrist, 34, after performing an autopsy, a requirement before the cremation.
The repatriation is being facilitated by British honorary consul Tamsin Booth together with the two siblings of the victim.
“I signed the death certificate of the victim before i-cremate kasi ‘yun ‘yung plano nila and they leave the case to the investigator kasi may suspek naman at inamin na rin ‘yung kasalanan,†Brunia said.
The autopsy result shows that Gilchrist died of four gunshot wounds to the head with the bullet exited the skull. He also sustained bullet wounds in the nose and left side of the body. Brunia said that the wounds were very fatal.
Brunia said that the victim was shot at close range because of the tattooing near the wounds. — (FREEMAN)
