CEBU, Philippines - Around 70 qualified beneficiaries of the City Hospitalization Assistance and Medicines Program claimed yesterday the aid from the Cebu City government.
According to Henry Sanchez, head of CHAMP, to be qualified of the assistance, one must prove to be a resident in the city. One of the requirements is a voter certificate.
Recipients of the assistance would also need to present a barangay clearance and proof of medical condition signed by a government doctor.
Some of beneficiaries were glad to receive assistance yesterday.
“Makatabang man kay na-ay maintenance sa tambal†Lucrecio Pacaña Jr.,65, a surveying draftsman said.
Meanwhile, Ruben Baculi, head of the Burial Assistance Office, said that those seeking for the burial assistance are now given ample time to process their document.
“Pinaagi sa Executive Order 11-13, the mayor amended the process. Kung sa-una gihatagan ra ug two months pag-process, karon six months to one year na ang paglihok sa proseso,†Baculi said. — Judie Mar Dinopol- CNU Comm intern/ATO (FREEMAN)
