Boy, 11, dies after hit by minibus

CEBU, Philippines - An 11-year-old boy met his untimely death after he was hit by an Isuzu minibus in Barangay Estaca, Compostela, Cebu last Sunday afternoon. 

Investigation revealed that the boy, Arnel Talingting, suffered multiple injuries, which caused his death. 

PO3 Michael Magallon said the minibus, driven by Paulino Enriquez, was traveling towards Carmen town when Talingting suddenly crossed the road. The boy, a resident of Barangay Mabini in Cebu City, suffered from multiple injuries, which caused his death.

Talingting was rushed to the Danao Provincial Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Enriquez surrendered to the police and was detained temporarily at the Compostela Police Station pending the filing of appropriate charges against him.  (FREEMAN)
