CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Provincial Board is set to hold its out-of-town session in Tuburan on Monday led by Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale.
This is the first out of town session the PB will be holding under the present administration.
Gov. Hilario Davide III will also be present in town for a consultative meeting with local officials led by Tuburan Mayor Democrito Diamante Jr. and other sectors.
Davide said that he would be bringing some of the Capitol department heads to immediately address concerns that would be brought up during the consultation.
In the previous administration, the PB held its last out-of-town session in Boljoon in southern Cebu.
Then governor and now third district Rep. Gwendolyn Garcia and the PB members usually distribute financial assistance to town and barangay officials during the out-of-town visit aside from the consultation.
An out-of-town session is intended to enable board members to interact and listen to concerns of officials and residents of the different cities and municipalities under the Provincial Government.
Board members would also take the opportunity to submit reports and important announcements during the session. (FREEMAN)
