PB authorizes Gov to hire consultants

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Provincial Board has authorized Governor Hilario Davide III to hire 17 consultants under his office.

The consultants were recommended by the Bids and Awards Committee through negotiated procurement for the period of July 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013.

These consultants are lawyer Joselito Ramon Castillo for legal, Rodrigo Lachica Jr. for resource development and cooperation, John Cobar for procurement and supplies management.

Marco Toral for jail management, Bradfield Lucero for stakeholders relations, Fidel Abalos for internal control and compliance, Herculene Rizon for cooperatives and people’s organizations.

Federico Muñoz for livelihood and skills training, former provincial administrator Eduardo Habin for administration and budgeting, former provincial board member Rose Marie Durano for local government units cooperation.

William Boco for social services, Mathea Baguia for employment services, Heddah Largo for gender and development, Romeo Tapayan for peace and order, Baltazar Tribunal for climate and disaster risk management.

Lawyer Jonathan Capanas for internal control and compliance and Dr. Romulo Davide for agriculture and food security.

Each consultant gets P26,000 per month except for Capanas and Davide who are paid P1 year. Davide is the uncle of the governor.

The PB last Monday passed a resolution authorizing Gov. Davide to sign on behalf of the province the memorandum of agreement involving the consultancy services under his office.  (FREEMAN)
