CEBU, Philippines - Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama will no longer require barangay captains to visit his office before releasing their financial assistance.
During yesterday’s press conference at the barangay Mambaling fire scene, Rama denied that he was responsible for the delay.
“These barangays were not cleared from their liquidations. I did not stop the release,†Rama said.
The mayor said he will order for the release of the financial assistance to prove that he had nothing against the said barangays.
Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) president Michael Ralota said there are 10 barangays which are yet to receive their financial assistance.
But Ralota believes that there are actually only seven because three of the ten barangays are allegedly allied with Team Rama.
These include barangays Babag, Binaliw, and Pit-os. (FREEMAN)
