CEBU, Philippines - Yi Sung Jung, the Korean car dealer who was killed by two men on a motorcycle last Saturday afternoon, was arguing with someone over his cellular phone before he was shot dead, according to Barangay Casuntingan police chief Senior Insp. Ramil Morpos.

Morpos said it was the victim's driver Sonny Ubal, 42, who said he heard the victim arguing with someone before the incident.

Morpos is set to turn over six cellular phones which belong to the victim, his driver and four friends whom he met prior to his death to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-7 for digital forensic examination.

Ubal was driving the Korean home towards Cebu City last Saturday afternoon when he was shot by two men while travelling along A.S Fortuna Street in Mandaue City. Both assailants covered their faces with scarves and were onboard a red Honda XRM motorcycle.

The victim was able to still jump out of this car before he died, Ubal was only hit in the right hand.

Based on the autopsy conducted by Dr. Nestor Sator of the PNP-7 crime laboratory, the Korean died of multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and his upper extremities.

Morpos added they now have three witnesses who will help come up with cartographic sketch of the assailants today. BRP (FREEMAN)
