COA, CH execs exit conference tomorrow

CEBU, Philippines - The Commission on Audit (COA) and the city executive department is set to meet in an exit conference tomorrow, June 4.

According to city administrator Atty. Jose Marie Poblete, it is a chance for the city government to air their side especially with reports of P245million payables based on the audit observation memorandum.

“It is an opportunity for both city and CPA to clarify, comment and explain issues raised in various audit observation issued by COA,” Poblete told The FREEMAN.

Apart from re-elected mayor Michael Rama, key department heads are expected to join him.

“Invited in the exit conference are the mayor, city administrator, city accountant, treasurer, budget, city planning, legal office and other relevant offices,” Poblete added.

He went on to explain that discussions will be collated into a report to be submitted by the city government before COA.

“After exit conference, the city government will submit its consolidated report and comments to observation for consideration in COA’s preparation of its annual audit report,” he said. — (FREEMAN)
