The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - JCI-Mandaue, the Give A Filipino Child A Chance Foundation and the Vicente Gullas Memorial Hospital recently signed a memorandum of agreement for the conduct of a surgical mission for children with cleft lip and palate.

The agreement, signed last April 1 at the University of the Visayas, provides free surgery, confinement and recovery care for 50 children who have a cleft lip and palate.

The Give A Filipino Child A Chance Foundation is a non-stock, non-profit organization managed and staffed by volunteers of varying nationalities, whose aim is to provide medical aid and assistance to less fortunate Filipino children.

Dr. Leticia F. Abinuman, medical director of the VGMH said the hospital partnered with JCI-Mandaue and the foundation as part of its corporate social responsibility, as well as to further the passion of UV Executive Vice President Jose “Dodong” R. Gullas’ to help the poor. (FREEMAN)
