CEBU, Philippines - Like others affected by the sex scandal involving a university student, the man in the video would also like to find out who was responsible for its spread last month.
“We are exerting our effort to cooperate with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-7 because like the NBI, our objective is also to know the truth of who uploaded the video,†according to lawyer Chevrolie Maglasang, counsel of the guy in the sex video.
Yesterday, the man was made to undergo a polygraph test or lie detector test at the NBI-7. Maglasang said her client voluntarily submitted himself for the test to clear his name.
Although the polygraph test is not acceptable as evidence in court, she said at least in the eyes and minds of the people, they will no longer entertain speculations that it was he who uploaded the video.
She said the cellphone wherein the video was stored got lost. In fact, she added, their client went back to the area where they were drinking with his friends and his brother's friends but did not find it.
Maglasang said their client asked his friends if they found his cellphone but they never saw it. She also added that the friends never saw the video because he kept it for himself.
As of the moment, they could not think of anyone responsible for the uploading of the video. The cellphone was placed in the guy's pocket.
Maglasang confirmed that the guy and his ex-girlfriend had talked after the incident. He is a graduating student in one of the universities in Cebu and will turn 19 this April.
Polygraph examiner Zari Zamora told the media that he cannot divulge the result of the examination as it is subject for approval of their central office. Within this week, he said, he will be sending the findings of the polygraph test.
Earlier, supervising agent Rey Villordon said the polygraph test will be used as basis of their investigation. He said if the man lied, then they will strengthen investigation against him.
The polygraph test is in line with the ongoing investigation of the NBI to determine who uploaded the video to the social networking sites. — /JPM (FREEMAN)
